I sometimes wish that liberals would also use these kinds of tactics to their advantage but then I remember that the majority of them aren’t evil motherfuckers

I have pointed this out before, but this statement is the essence of the conservative playbook. Accuse the other side of doing what you yourself are doing before they can accuse you of it. That way when somebody looks at it and says “hey, you are the ones using your media platform to push an agenda,” they look like

Point out another media company that makes their local stations read the same forced talking points, and your point will be taken seriously.

Per a buddy:

or Msnbc, or Fox News. MSNBC recently whitewashed Gina Haspel’s record by calling torture, “rough interrogation.” Repugnant.

Don’t watch CNN.

I’m sorry but you need to grow up and stop looking to celebrities to be your heroes. Actually, stop looking for heroes.

Well, if he can hire two hit men to kidnap his wife for ransom money, who’s to say he isn’t capable of bullying?

The fuck does “bullying” even mean anymore?

Bernadette Peters must have a portrait in her attic that is terribly aged & unsexy. Good god

Now this is Service Journalism I can really use, given my sky-high probability of winning a lottery prize greater than two bucks.

You’d have to be totally crazy to assume Tarantino was malicious in having her drive the car or happy that she got hurt. Dangerous, stupid, careless, sure, but the sloppy writing of the original article mixed with the outraged reactions (often from people who already didn’t like the director for one reason or another)

I can’t tell if you’re too ignorant to realize that this is an example of yet another woman completely eschewing responsibility. She was a movie star at the time and by far the most important actor on the set. She could have simply said no, with no fear of any retribution by Tarantino. What could he have done? Fire

You can’t control what your adult children do but even before this recent wave of accusations, I thought any parent who let their child be a professional entertainer should be investigated...a few times.

He isn’t wrong. On either accounts.

He said it’s a bit of a witch hunt?!? GET HIM!!!

People don’t make up stories of sexual assault. Yes, it has happened

Why didn’t she simply walk out? Why did she blow him? This is clearly a consensual sexual encounter she later regretted. “I didn’t really want to do it, but I did anyway” is not sexual misconduct.

Who are the oppressed in this situation? Women who took “Sex Scenes” classes and then were offended when sex was explored in the class? And an ex-girlfriend who gave a blow job when she’d rather have waited to do it until later that night?

Idk, he certainly comes off a bit sleezy but it sounds like most of the women in all these cases had every opportunity to not do any of this stuff. There comes a certain point where you can’t just yell “power difference” every time you choose to do something that you end up regretting.
