Like many things, the problem with Little Miss Sunshine wasn't the film itself, it was the endless attempts to emulate and repeat the same thing.

The Good Girl and Friends with Money were solid films and she was good in them. People just aren't interested in seeing midrange adult dramas in the theater anymore. At this point, theatrical releases are more to avoid being labeled a direct-to-video b-movie.

Slap Bet got an extra two or three years out of HIMYM. The two best running gags in a show full of them are the Slap Bet and Robin Sparkles. The need to see these two threads continue is why I kept watching it until the last, terrible, useless season.
