I’m on my local Relay For Life committee, and I see the survivors and hear their stories all the time. My fiancé is a survivor of childhood lymphoma. The breakthroughs (probably thanks to Ms Lacks!) in medicine in just the past few years is astounding, though there is still a long, long way to go.
