I lose interest too. I mean it could be as simple as Aloy fighting Dr. Strange in Fortnite, or some bizarre virtual bullshit meant to replace real life.

I don’t know why, but anytime I hear the ‘Metaverse’ mentioned or hyped up, I instantly lose all interest.
This sucks. If you ever played this game single player it took *forever* to get the coins to get new courses. Playing online showered you with coins, suggesting the game was balanced to force you to participate in online activities (even if were the only one playing) . If you buy this game after the online modes are…
Wanted to pitch a “Tom Clancy’s The Division or 2020?” article to Kotaku back then, making people try to guess if it was real life or a screenshot from the games
People in the comments, Martin’s blog post and across this and other reports all seem to be missing the bit that made it seem like GRRM’s initials were deliberately placed there:
Wasn’t this the same idea Crackdown 3 had? Offloading everything to “the cloud” is certainly one way to make DDoS attacks way more effective.
I really don’t want bigger games. I’m already not touching Valhalla (despite loving Assassin’s Creed), because it’s so daunting (and disrespectful of my time... at least going by previous games).
This is going to be abandoned the moment they realise it’ll have to be online-only for everything and that’ll lose sales.
These two seem like they could have emerged from the same vat.
I agree to a certain extent. I think when story is conveyed through context, you can have a great experience, but the more inscrutably portrayed it is, the more likely it is players will ignore it either purposefully or because they are ignorant that it even exists; or turn to videos to explain it to them like you…
Everything you’ve listed here is completely optional to the player. Get stuck on a boss? Summon help. Melee too tough? Used ranged bows or spells. Care about the Lore? Read item descriptions or look it up online. I don’t see how any of this is bad.
I’m more a fan of the no-gimmick (i.e. the game quits thing) speedruns.
Im sure he saved a lot of time by not answering the phone every time his cousin called.
It’s almost as if war is somehow less relevant to society. Weird.
I think a person is being inappropriate anytime they suggest that someone is lesser because of a physical feature, and say they should get painful surgery to fix the supposed deficiency. That goes for the comments here, as well as the (far more common) comments women get about their physical features.
You're equating videogames with toys. Ernekid is equating videogames with art - as they should be. Hence, preservation. And no, they aren't overreacting. Not in the slightest!
Piracy is now the only realistic way to maintain video game archival preservation because it is obvious that the Video Games publishers couldn’t give a shit about it.
Nintendo purposely ended Virtual Console so that your purchases do not transfer over. They locked everything behind a sub to Switch Online, where you can’t buy/download any of the games, just rent.
I guess I can finally crack open my copy on PS4.
It’s like, these fucking people....do they think workers are unionising for fun? For a laugh? The history of unionisation is that it comes about when conditions for workers SUCK SO BADLY that they feel they have no other choice.
