I cast 80% of my show (sans one lead that I can't find anyone decent for), and the production limitations and scheduling conflicts are already piling up.  I'm more than frustrated.  I want to sleep for a week and have everyone conform to how the universe should be in my mind.

Is there an article that covers the original construction and how Clooney veered from the original?  I know there was always some contention between Kaufman and Clooney in terms of the film's narrative execution, but I'm curious exactly what those points of contention were.

It's not mentioned here (guessing time restraints), but Confessions of a Dangerous Mind is still one of the greatest films of the 00s, and entirely unsung, and for no small reason aided by Rockwell's superb, tangled portrayal of Barris.  He and Clooney did some remarkable work — getting to the absurd root of the man…

Ignored his brief, but brilliant guest roles on The Larry Sander Show, allowing himself to be mocked in a "guest that's always available and tells the same stories" position, along with removing his pants on stage.

I'd bet the decision had more to do with cutting corners and paying the guy two-tiers lower less than someone with more experience and, likely, skill at performing the job, like you.  Has there been any funky restructuring or financial drama going on in the past couple months/years?
