No, it wasn't on last night. NBC aired The Voice.

A good episode, if nowhere near the season high of game night. For me, it had one big problem: Amy was being an asshole. She's usually one of my favorite characters, but she was a jerk here. Wil agreed to do their stupid show for free as a favor, and yes, she was being a pain in the ass. He deserved an apology more

I admit, I missed about half of the episode, because every time something involving Jack, the bar, and stupid devious scam artist/whatever came onscreen, I changed the channel rather than have another second of that tedium inflicted on me. Made it hard to follow what was going on otherwise in the episode, but still

I kind of wish I was the kind of viewer who took notes or something, just so I could quote a favorite bit that went unmentioned. But loved that line when Victoria is on the phone with Conrad telling him about Kara's sudden resurrection, he says, "I thought she was dead!" and Victoria tosses back, "So did I, but right

Grandpa said he's raised a werewolf before—his son from the sound of it, who was born completely covered in hair—so presumably it runs in the family, and Eddie got it through Lily. And he also said Marilyn's mother—another of his children, Lily's sister—tried to eat Marilyn, which would probably be a good reason why

Agreed. He sold the monologue. Then, when Penny said, "Sometimes I forget how smart you are," it was such a sweet, simple, genuine moment of connection between the characters, the kind they don't always (and, in fact, seldom) get. Understated and just lovely. If only they were given more like that, instead of so much

Mayim Bialik was in a car accident in August. It was evidently pretty bad; early rumors were that she was going to lose some fingers, though she ultimately didn't.

Sad to hear this is the last recap/review, but great job as usual. I'll miss reading them.

Yes, the show really needed that deliciously soapy moment, which made it easy to overlook the episode's weaknesses. The Jack/Declan plot was tedious, and Nolan was adrift in Extraneous Land, but knowing Amanda was going to fall (which was obvious from the opening moments) kept the tension high and the dread building,

He wasn't letting her kiss him. She had him pinned to the floor and was doing it against his will, which is why he asked Amy for help (and of course she only joined in). Given the upper body strength, or lack thereof, he displayed during the wrestling match, it made sense that he wouldn't have been able to get her off

I used to live in the LA area, and there were plenty of 24-hour Ralph's supermarkets (which I seem to recall at least one of the characters mentioned they shopped at before). Getting pies at any time of day or night would have been no big deal.
