I personally look forward to thwarting my future potential children's access to intertron porn. It will be insanely frustrating for them growing up in a house with a developer dad and a sysadmin mom.

Hey, Lady Gaga is fucking awesome. `

Dudes. I am in my 30s and I don't understand how you survive without fucking RSS.

'78 and I do not appreciate you young little fuckers making me feel old like this. I hang out with a bunch of people ten years older than I, so I am the wee tiny young baby in my social group, so fuck y'all.

Luke
Dude, this is bar none the best portrayal of a boy kid I have ever seen on television, ever. They are really like that, with the alien tangents and the weirdness. Well, at least, my brother was exactly like that. I don't know about other boys, but I'm pretty sure they're more like Luke and less like all the

Yeah, Claire's fall was really something beautiful.

The Good News
is that there should be another Esquire-like interview with him where he reveals himself to be a completely humorless prick who overthinks comedy to the nth degree and is in general, the most insufferable cockflapstic prick on the face of the earth.

Oh Ted is the fucking WORST. Everyone else, however, is awesome, and I say fuck the haters when it comes to HIMYM. I don't know anyone who likes the show (and I just got into it last season) and actually likes, empathizes, or wants anything good to happen to Ted. Barney fucking makes up for it like a motherfucker

See they have to go to Mordor with these three rings.

This season was terrible, but the season before that (what, 3?) was absolutely outstanding. It was pretty depressing to watch how much the slow slid in between two seasons.

Any woman who says that she's not a feminist is either one of those fucking weirdo Kansans who want to get rid of women's rights to vote or so deeply and sadly uninformed about anything actually relevant to feminist theory that there's no fucking point.
I almost hate to trot this out because it is so everywhere

The Cultural Divide
I was just in Japan last fall; that cultural divide is a real thing. Obviously it has gotten a less pronounced with the advent of the internet and mass pop culture, but I still felt like the entire time I was in Japan, I was in a Bizarro World America. Where we zig, they zag. Where we're loud

I thought that scene was totally overwrought "we're all human" super-cliche. Just like Todd mentioned, it's been done, and redone, over and over and over again (hi, young SS officer in Band of Brothers). I'm over the "trying to tug on my heartstrings."

That shoeshine head bit pretty much killed me.

Mia Wasikowska
You guys see the first season of In Treatment? She was the gymnast, like, I think Paul's Wednesday appt. I remember seeing her in that show and thinking to myself "goddamn this girl is a really amazing actress" and then I find out she's Australian which is really kind of staggering - I had no idea.

Frazzled Jim is insanely sexy.

Whatever, Scooter totally got mentioned like, last season, I'm pretty sure.

I didn't find that at all with The Sea - it read really fast for me. It's not like David Foster Wallace or Mark Leyner or anything (I love DFW, I'm just saying, unnecessary language, bros).

Yeah, these guys are way more "don't look in the crawlspace" crazy than anyone else.

Wait, so was there ever a "J.J. and Wanda are children of incest" statement on the show? Is that why their parents are SO FUCKING CREEPY?
