Eh, Michael Cera didn't really sell me on the badassery in Scott Pilgrim.  Definitely agree about Schwartzmann and JGL though.  As for Pill, I had never seen her in anything before that, and only one thing since, so she doesn't qualify as "unexpectedly badass."

This is twice this week that I've seen someone claim Neeson was good in Star Wars.  I do not understand it.  His performance was just as wooden as the rest.  McDiarmid is where it's at. Although he didn't do much in Episode I either.

I had a hell of a hard time trying to decide whether that was Charlie Day's voice, or Scott Grimes doing a great Charlie Day impression.  Just sounded a little bit off somehow.

Ha, fair enough.  I just like a scene of well-written dialogue every now and then, and I think it's something that Dexter should've done more often in its time.  I do hope Hannah eventually puts together and/or brings up the Beavercide.
