superb show
as always. i can see jon hamm in a weary remake of the maltese falcon as directed by david fincher.

Hoya: Would you rather go to a shitty college or an Ivy League school?

yeah, but chase at times suggests that being a good human being truly means not being corrupted-the cop destroyed by tony is ruined in a way, yes-but he is not defeated when he refuses tony's money. tony is the true loser here. hell, maybe chase was more hopeful than we thought.

graduation
here we get to see what cost meadow, carmela, tony, and aj's happiness creates for everyone around them. davey scatino is broke, divorced, and ruined. the son can't go to georgetown. a junkie needs the drugs the sopranos give him. the corrupt garbage company, the stock exchange scam. all so meadow goes to a

i don't think pete loves peggy (actually, pete and trudy's marrage seems quite loving and stable nowadays), but they have a connection because of their child.

Weird
Why are you bitching about harris' introspection? What have people been DOING in song lyrics, no, much of writing in general? i guess everybody's totally focused on the real world.im not usually a troll, but cmon…

great movie
this and hannah and her sisters are her best movies; she just totally pulls off this slightly naive, sweet little woman perfectly.

the cop is a nice reminder that there are good human beings in the Soprano's world; though they are not always in the orbit of tony, they are there to remind us of what virtue actually is.

my favorite part is when richie says to janice as she bitches about her mother, "hey hey, she can hear you."just awesome.

the fact there are so many clues to either conclusion-tony's death or that life goes on-is probably proof david chase is genius, at least that we can agree on.

Sharks…
This is probably the first episode showing the arc of the FBI in the Soprano's world: the "good guys", but on a declining slope in their morality and treatment of the rats they use to get what they want. Agent Harris and his partner chatting about the game with the man they're trying to destroy. In Season 3,

um…
this is not good at all. sure, it's ambitious, but it's so fucking silly. it's not anything significant, it's just trash, and not like awesome trash. bad trash. roger daltrey is excellent however, he's sort of underrated in a way.

I dunno; I don't know a great deal about how the others like Jody Stephens felt, but it sounds like they were with him all the way. At a certain point, they probably knew they were working with a genius and were like "fuck it".

big star
im 18, your piece is great. i interpret september gurls as an outsider's song, ('december boys got it bad'), a man viewing the girls around him, obsessing over them, fascinated. if anything, if i had a gun to my head, i would pick this as the greatest pop song ever written.

You don't think you can change the world? Anyone can. Joe Strummer, Ian MacKaye, and Jello Biafra would teach that. Anyone can do it. It's a pretty limp, defeatist attitude. Sorry about the oi thing, but frankly giving up isn't very punk is it?

lets see…
gabriella dante and silvio dante in the sopranos. extremely comfortable with each other, as far as we've seen. i always thought silvio was the happiest guy on the show consistently, a behind the scenes guy who as a result had nothing bothering him.

Yeah, sorry I care about the world, and don't just want to drink all the time and party while listening to fucking boring ass oi music (which by the way kinda sucks).

Oasis was indie? MAYBE Blur, but not those lads…

I guess, but I'm more a Fugazi business model kinda guy, weirdly more than Tom Gabel: if you're a good band, you'll get an audience that appreciates and loves you. Fugazi was loved by people who understood them: it was a small audience but one that let them sell a lot of albums. The Replacements, Against Me: these are

I think it's great the bands like Arcade Fire can reach no. 1 without ditching their label-these guys have balls. Against Me signed to a major, but don't have any real lasting chart success.
