DONT PANIC

"Certain albums just got selected out and sort of appropriated by
larger-than-usual audiences for a reason I can describe only vaguely as
"has rhythm/beats and yet is still OK for white people to listen to."

Who says Entroducing… doesn't hold up? Seriously, I can't believe that there exists people who liked that album when it came up and not anymore. For me, that album is still near-flawless. DJ Shadow could have gone on to release albums with nothing but fart noises after that album and I'd still call him a genius.

Rubicon falls into the "not goodwill" category for me.

"Tony and Ridley Scott will executive produce one of these."

@avclub-e57f718840a576abbb40a7d046c4e3b0:disqus How would you rate WoT as a fantasy series? Personally, I think it got way too "soapy" pretty early.

The name Tony made me thing of the Mimbo.

Eh, some people didn't care for the way they killed off Susan. Not a big deal.

He's been building up to the finale for about ten reviews now, so it better be A++++++++++++ stuff.

It's the kind of criticism that bugs me, though. The "Seinfeld is spinning its wheels" complaint just fucking baffles me, like Seinfeld  was ever about anything other than funny episodes. Sims is starting to treat this show like it's Lost or some shit like that.

Seinfeld trivia, from the DVD extras: The actor said Norman instead of Newman by mistake in one of the takes, and they decided to keep it in the show.

"The frustrating and yet powerful thing about “The Anthrax Files” is that
it’s nearly impossible to walk away with any certainty about Ivins’
guilt or innocence."

In other news, Homeland is getting pretty shitty ratings. 0.97m viewers with a 0.4 in the 18-49 demo for det second episodeeven after going after Dexter. I still have hope for it being renewed if it keep those viewers, but it can't afford to lose more viewers.

That Anthrax article is one of my favourite magazine articles of all time, such a great-written piece. The whole case really stinks, and I'm glad it's getting more coverage now.

I hate everything about the characters on this show so far, especially the "son" character…fuck that whiny bitch.

They did seem to hint at something like that with her conversation with her sister.

What's your view on Sleeper Cell, especially the first season? Personally, it's my favourite season of any Showtime show ever and I thought it was a show that operated in the realistic grey areas of a situation like that.

I like your theory.

To be fair, it hasn't really had much competition for that title. Showtime has been on a serious dry run when it comes to good shows for the last years.

I agree that the concept with the music and the real life scenes was pretty cool, and I wouldn't complain if they stuck to that. I had the same problem as you though, putting those scenes from the show in there was just a bizarre choice. Another thing: Is it usual to put the "previously on…" right after the intro? I

Yeah, me too. I think I watched Rescue Me past the second season just because I love that intro, and I watch How To Make It In America partly because of that intro (it's also a good and underrated show, of course).
