I've recently started playing the INXS Pandora station a lot at work, and I have to say…it's the best station. None better.

I'm relatively sure they're currently working on a proper new album as well, but the push for the re-release had something to do with their new label deal.

Kinda flippantly sexist too. The female members of Chvrches, Daughter, Givers, etc are just doing their jobs. And pretty damn well, I might add.

I was working across the street from that club at the time she was supposed to play there (2010, I think?). I remember hearing the next day that the show didn't end up happening due to the sound not working, and feeling sad that what I'm sure was going to be a wholly bizarre experience for all involved didn't have the

Funkadelic's "Maggot Brain". No question.

Whenever it was the end of the year, or my history teacher didn't want to teach us in high school, we'd watch Harold and Maude. He'd also pause it occasionally to set up and tell us exactly what was so funny about each scene, which we would then proceed to watch while he cackled in the back of the class. That guy was

I am a little surprised that Chicago wasn't sold out by the time I got there, but that show wasn't through Ticketmaster, thank god.

I saw her performance on Letterman last night, and immediately knew I needed to see that live. Got a ticket to see her in October, and I can't wait.

I've been casually following Sufjan's Tumblr for a while now, and the guy is prone to long text posts about grammar, fonts, and the like (some about established artists, some about people I've never heard of). I just hope that the fact that this particular one was reported on by at least two online publications today

I totally agree, though my head was so rattled after Swans' outdoor set, I'm not sure I'd be able to handle them in a venue.

Not super recently, but I've watched all his videos on CBC radio playing the stuff off of Heartland (I think he had a drummer for that). It's fascinating how he (or andrew bird or kishi bashi) is able to integrate a full band into that setup. Like I said, I can't wait to see what it looks/sounds like.

Can't wait for new Owen Pallett. Heartland is one of my most-played albums of the past couple years.

I'm so torn between my disgust towards Orson Scott Card and my childhood love of Ender's Game that I totally support boycotting this movie, while simultaneously wanting it to be good.

I'm not sure how I feel about it lyrically (based on Rick Rubin's comments about production, it sounds like a lot of them were written last minute), but the production is fantastic. Current MVP is Hold My Liquor. Feels more slight than MBDTF, not sure that's a bad thing.

Concur on skipping the first season, or maybe go back to it after watching 2, 3, and 4. But it's fantastic.

When I saw the announcement, it was attached to the "regeneration" promo the BBC has now, and all I could think was what a goddamn imposing figure Smith always was as the Doctor. I hope whoever they get next can play frightening as well as Smith did.

oh, tamela…

This may have already been mentioned, but I also loved the continuation of the little cues that Tobias is black, like Herbert Love reminding Lindsey of Tobias when they were first dating. Especially since they copped to the 'Tobias sounds gay' joke pretty early on.

I had the exact same reaction. At the beginning, it honestly felt a bit like a chore, but then about halfway through I started having more active fun watching a TV show than I'd had in a long time. And after it was over my brain had the same slightly dazed and disconnected feeling as it gets when I've finished a book

I've only seen Ivan's Childhood and Andrei Rublev, but I really enjoyed both of those. So excited about that link to all his films for free. Just gotta decide where to start…
