Eh, I think it works better as a vague background event. I do wonder how the Presidents Day Massacre will play.

I just read it a couple of months ago. I think the first third is "Offred thinks while walking to the store" so I'm interested how that will turn out.
Trump just learned that Canada is in NAFTA, and is flipping out about trade deals.

Also, Trump gave a bizarre, rambling AP interview, where he said he doesn't know what he's doing and that government is much harder than running a business, with different skill sets needed.
Yeah, most of the people that would be directly affected by the wall don't want it, so probably little blowback there. The question is: what exactly do Trump supporters want him to do? What law do they want him to sign?
Right now, he's in a honeymoon period, but eventually his supporters will notice his constant unforced failures.
Also, the Mar a Largo ad has to be against some sort of ethics rules. There must be some sort of rule against making the State Department shill for your resort business, right?
The entire Senate going to the White House for an intelligence briefing is not a good sign. Is Trump going to bring up use of force?
Holy shit, they have ads promoting J6 on Echo during the show! Why not just ask "Who's the host of Jeopardy?"
Trump has backed down on the wall, saying he'll come back to it in the Fall. So, the government probably won't shutdown, but nothing has passed yet.
That bitch just needs to be humble.
There is a very real chance Trump will shutdown the government, over Congress refusing to pay for the border wall he promised they wouldn't need to pay for.
He can't even think of a bad lie. "At a later date" and "in some form" are just "I don't know."
Republicans seem to have learned the wrong lessons from the last shutdown. Voters blamed the incumbents, not Democrats. The two groups just happened to be the same.
The death toll in the Venezuelan protests has risen to 20. There's a march on the capital planned, to commemorate the death.
No, Chris Hardwick has his own talk show, just called "Talking." I ended watching the first episode, which had Elijah Wood as the guest, in the background while doing something else. Wasn't terrible.
Nobody wants the Wall. Republicans in Congress dropped it as soon as Democrats asked. If Trump stays out of it, the odds of a government shutdown drop, but he's toxic to Democrats and has dumb ideas that even Republicans would be willing to compromise.
I kinda liked some of Lana Del Rey's other songs, but I heard the new one, and thought "Well, I'm finished with this."
My first DVD purchase was Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
