I'll take One Minute or Half Measures over Face Off. The "one minute" of One Minute was among the most heart-pounding, holy-shit-what's-gonna-happen TV scenes I've ever seen. The last scene of Half Measures was just as riveting and a major Rubicon moment for Walter and the show.

That scene at the bar at the end was really well done. I imagine saying everything with just body language and awkward stammering requires some serious acting skills.

My fault; it was late. It was actually "STARING the future paradigm in the face." Still a horrible line.

@Wad VanDerTurf Loughner wasn't a Tea Partier. As much as many (hell, myself at the time) may have wished there was a definitive Tea Party link to discredit the movement, that simply wasn't the case.

The Tea Party had a heyday of about 2 years and one election cycle. This country has a long history of short, sudden bursts of popularity for extremist wings. It's all just politics. That's why this show doesn't work; the events require a much more nuanced and subtle depiction than this show's hyperbolic pontificating.

Anyone who was in actual fear of a relatively tame (and lame) astroturf movement like the Tea Party must have had a horrible grasp of history and/or a poor understanding of the politics of this country. Scorn and derision? Sure. Alarmist bullshit and fear? Only in the fantasy world this show is set in.

I don't know how people can excuse this show because it's "Sorkin" and that's okay and it's just not for you. I've never seen any of the guy's TV work before, but if it means horribly cliche, canned dialogue then I can't see the appeal. I could see this on network TV but I usually expect better and more subtle writing…

I know what you mean. Almost everything about this show is horrible, but I'll admit there's a rare funny line. It's about worthy of Smash-level hatewatching.

This probably deserved a B or lower, while last week's episode should have been at least an A-. Disappointing finale that felt pretty flat, aimless, and hollow — WAIT, is this, like, another metaphor for the characters' lives?
