This probably deserved a B or lower, while last week's episode should have been at least an A-. Disappointing finale that felt pretty flat, aimless, and hollow — WAIT, is this, like, another metaphor for the characters' lives?

Really? The whole thing with Beth and the electroshock felt pretty flat and contrived. That whole subplot was just thoroughly non-interesting; it was never particularly well developed or written to me.

I've watched every episode of Girls (some a couple times), and my main complaint is that it's just not that funny. I still like the show because it's well made, interesting, culturally relevant, and sometimes pretty funny; however, in my opinion Veep has thus far been much more reliable for laugh-out-loud moments. Oh, damn, I totally missed that. Thanks.

I got that it was his troops dragging him away, but where do you go from there? The beach was pretty much fucked with the Lannister/Tyrell army storming it, his whole fleet was pretty much fucked - though I guess I shouldn't underestimate Stannis.

What was the point of the flashback where we see Joan's POV when Don comes to her apartment? I couldn't really think of anything besides that she had already made up her mind and didn't want Don to know at the time. Seemed kind of odd within the structure of the episode.

I feel like the reviewer should have touched on those last minute moments a little more. Between the shock of Loras Tyrell bursting through the gate (are there THREE fuckin' armies now?), then Tywin Lannister (oh shit, they teamed up), and Stannis being dragged away to some uncertain fate (how does he get out of

This is truly horrible writing. Another gem: "But playing for the here and now is also important, and vastly more vital."

Doreah's gotta be coming back in some big way, right? My guess is in the Temple of the Undying or whatever it is.

Xaro Xhoan Moneybags cut a deal with the warlock to become King of Qarth and open it up to the masses (and execute the rest of the 13.) Just as he seemed, Xaro is a scheming motherfucker who's been up to some shit since he vouched for Dany.

@Skipskatte It seems you find yourself unfamiliar with Aragorn's ultimate speech before the Black Gate. May the gods see blindfold lifted from eyes: http://www.youtube.com/watc…

@avclub-adad33d3da210f8c6efe515ace3e7089:disqus  Ratings aren't everything; The Wire was a huge phenomenon and already being called the "greatest TV series of all time" by its 4th season. Mad Men and Breaking Bad may not have outstanding ratings but have nonetheless been more popular and culturally relevant than
