God damn am I jealous you saw U.S. Maple. I love that band and have since the first album came out. Just never had the opportunity to see them up in Canada. They aren't around anymore, not since like 2003 I think.

I loved Manipulator, for sure. But Slaughterhouse is equally awesome. And this new one, fucked up as it is, seems great on first listen.

Yeah the final shot was nice. What did you think of the score there? Seemed to be purposefully echoing that high pitched note that caused people to kill themselves… foreshadowing?

Yeah, it was definitely better, but still not great. I think Zach is dead on with the B grade. Some super clunky exposition dialogue and some definite cheese, but waaaaay better than the first one.

Yeah I hear you. Still amazing that those albums exist on a major label. But I guess the atmosphere on labels has probably changed now, so I doubt they'd give complete artistic freedom. Might be best to just go with Ipecac.

I visited that set piece at the Doctor Who Experience this past summer. Unless they took it out of there at some point to film in it (which is likely, I guess), they must have built a new one.

Yeah, I guess just having him say it out loud makes it seem more real - Time Lords can grant more regeneration - they can choose how many a Time Lord gets! That's pretty huge, and something that hadn't really hit home until he said it.

One thing missed in the review - Rassilon asks "How many regenerations did we grant you?" Holy crap, what?!

I haven't read the article, but I disagree about the whole first season being garbage. It takes a few episodes to get going, but the thing is that it knew it was a B movie from the start - if you can accept that, then you'll have a ton of fun. I think it was around episode 3 or 4 that I was sold on it.

Yeah, I think it's a lost cause at this point. But if enough of us comment on this thread, it might happen. I'd be down for watching them all again from the beginning if it meant engaging with other fans from the site about it.

And good thing too - that guy's acting sucked.

I LOVED when he got that zombie stoned. That's about when I fell in love with this show.

FUCK YEAH!!

Yeah, I HATED that about "End of Time" especially. What a crock.

Yeah, I used to get hung up on the grade letter a lot too, but your reviews are much more important than that letter. Great job on this one, by the way.

They sound like they could eat the rest of the K records roster for breakfast.

As far as I'm concerned K stands for KARP! 'Nuff said.

Do you deliver to China?

There's a Faith No More live bootleg called "Hard Rock Caca" from a 1995 show that's pretty awesome. They do a short Portishead cover that left me screaming for more.
