Nice! Another SC3 fan! I finally saw them live back in 2014, and man was I blown away. They are so. fucking. good. I mean, I knew they were good after listening to them for so long, but when you see it live, you realize just how amazing they really are.

Definitely has some of my favourite songs from them on it (the Bit, Buck Owens, Berthas, etc), but I wouldn't recommend it as an entry point just because a lot the "experimental" tracks aren't going to sit well with a lot of people. Houdini, Stoner Witch, the Maggot, or (A) Senile Animal would all be better I think.

Mars Attacks was awesome!

One of my favourite bands ever, Trans Am, put out their first album ever, and another, Barkmarket, put out their last ever. Both are solid, if not the best they ever did.

Yeah seriously! That was a great season! Everything else has been just so bad (although not as bad as the first season….well, actually that was the only other one I watched fully, so I guess I shouldn't proclaim anything like that…).

Frank Black's first two solos are awesome and unimpeachable, imho. After that…meh. Never really heard anything I liked enough to buy.

Really enjoyed this first episode. Totally in for the full first season, and I'm going to hunt down the comics too eventually. Hits a really nice sweet spot between super freaky and good storytelling without going too far off in either direction.

Yeah, I love them too. I was kind of disappointed in this new one though. The production sounds off to me - too muddy. I've always preferred a cleaner rawer sound for this kind of rock.

The Thing is the single greatest horror movie ever made. Those FX still hold up today and are still WAY better than anything CGI has been able to muster up.

Just saw this recently actually, and I was totally amazed at how good it was. I had seen most of his flicks by that point, but this one always escaped me somehow. Damn, is it ever good. Really one of my favourites from him. So violent, so raw, so great. Love the score too.

And especially if they can fucking write, direct, edit, and score most of them. Guy was in a serious zone in his early career.
