I didn't start watching as a kid until our PBS station had passed her era. So my crushes were Nyssa and the Peri (obviously). I think now both of them rank pretty low though. As I continued watching all the classic series, also developed crushes on Zoe, Leela, Vicki, and Romana II; Victoria too, even though she

I agree with you at least a little there. But in this story in particular, her acting is absolutely horrible. Every time she was on the screen, I winced. In her defense, I haven't noticed her be quite so bad in the other stories so far, but neither has she distinguished herself.

I'm a bit of a score freak, so I have to comment on that aspect of this story. Doctor Who in general was of course a pioneer (one of several worldwide, but maybe the only one in such an influential position) in the use of electronic music in the early days of the form. The BBC Radiophonic workshop always did such a

Be sure to let us all know when you plan to start doing classic who over there. I will gladly join in!

That hovercraft chase is the single worst thing in the classic series (with maybe the exception of that fucking cowboy song in The Gunslingers). It just goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on.

*slow clap*

Missed this one getting posted, so I'm late. But I'll chime in and also say thanks to Christopher for doing a great job. It was a massive undertaking to try to get through the whole classic series, and I don't think anyone can really blame you for stopping.

Yep, this is a great album! Definitely one of their stronger releases, just for the opening and closing tracks alone. The middle two are a little …. underwhelming when taken on their own, but as parts of a whole, they work just as well as any other similar tracks on any other Godspeed (and a hundred other

That sounds interesting. Never heard of that show. Is it worth getting into? I'm considering stopping 12 Monkeys if it doesn't end with a bang. Getting kind of fed up with some aspects of it.

Yeah it's my biggest problem with the show. Ramse's thinking doesn't make any sense. They really didn't sell his emotional state at all. It would take someone completely insane to think that killing billions was worth it to save his wife and son, and he never once seemed insane. Same thing with what's-his-name in

China just started an international corruption task force called "Sky Net".

Yikes….how did I get that so horribly wrong…? I watch too many TV shows I guess…. anyway, it would have been very sneaky of him!!! (if it had been true)

That King Eckbert is a sneaky son of a bitch. I bet he had the whole thing planned from the start. He must have known that his son and daughter-in-law were having problems conceiving. He totally pushed Aethelstan into sleeping with her (well, at least, he didn't discourage it….he must have known something would

Totally agree - yes, the plot of the court case gets a bit tiresome in this season, but the performances from the main players are absolutely amazing. That alone saves this season from the "this season sucks" narrative that I've seen popping up lately. Plus, as always, the beautiful cinematography and imagery.

WWE - How is this still a thing?
And way to go jumping on the "Let's hate on Walking Dead" bandwagon. I'd gladly sit down and watch the full first four seasons (apparently, the "bad parts") in a row than watch a single episode of WWE.

Me and my buddy were huge Oz fans. When we went to see Spider-man in the theatres we had no idea JK Simmons was in it. I swear to god, we could not stop laughing for like 5 minutes after he came on screen. It was just so god damned surreal to see him there, and the fact that he nailed it so hard too - it was all

I agree. Oz needs to be worshipped more. Absolutely amazing show, and the progenitor of all modern "edgy" TV shows. TV Club Classic, get on that shit.

My ex-girlfriend is a psychic. She dumped me three weeks before we met.

Yep. Definitely my favourite of theirs. Amazing album.

God damned "Against the Grain' is one of the best punk rock albums ever made. I will put that up against any other punk album and insist that it holds up. Nearly perfect. Can't say that I ever got into any of their other albums as much though.
