That description of Sokeb is spot-on. I think Ben's dismay at Jacob's absence touches on the idea that Jacob is not actually good, he just fixes bad things. He nudges everyone to get them back to the island.

He also might have fought back. Or directed Alpert not to let certain people in.

The loophole has something to do with the compass. By using the time skips and various people, Esau has changed time so that the introduction of the compass never happens. It has always been passed back and forth between Locke and Alpert.

Magnolia by P.T. Anderson
This movie is brilliant. I just couldn't get outside myself enough to not put Hollywood expectations on how the story progressed.

Also good: The Money Pit.

The Beach Boys is what all pop music should be. It's nothing special but it can just be so great to listen to once in a while.

I loved the Silmarillion. It was like reading Genesis. Note: I am nerdy enough to actually enjoy reading the Pentateuch.

I first heard Pints of Guinness Make You Strong and it sounded abrasive. Like most good songs though, the more you listen to it, the better they get.

The way he said "friend" was dripping with contempt.

My theory:

The gender was determined by looking at the pelvis, which looks different from male to female in humans.

Can someone please come up with a theory in which Daniel Faraday is not dead?

I like this garden of Eden idea a lot. This could essentially be what the Dharma initiative and the others separately were trying to do. The biggest problem was jealousy.

Aslan, dudes.

Fates.

Touche, Dr. Gnu.

Well I'll see what I can do.

Not only you, but I also want to know.

IIII"m the maaaaaaaaaan in the BOX!

But seriously, what ABOUT the voice of Geddy Lee?
