The actual writing in the book 'Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter" was suprisingly terrible - I have a hard time imagining that the movie could fix that. It's too bad - in the right hands, the concept might have been pretty funny/interesting…

"In that way I think that season 5 is probably the purest distillation of the show's themes as a whole."

I actually laughed out loud at the car not starting, and then felt really bad for laughing at the plight of such a desperate man - like @avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus , I was really hoping he was going to reconsider, as I don't quite think that's the fate Lane deserved…but I guess snapping his glasses…

The Bruce Springsteen skits from BSS are hilarious - not sure if that has to do with liking Ben Stiller, or hating Bruce Springsteen, though.

…You got a point Maize Kraize - but can he carry a 30 minute film?

I've been waiting to hear about this for awhile now - I have a feeling it's going to be terrible…he's polishing the turd with 7 screens so you forget what an awful premise it has, and how bad the writing is.

There was talk money may have been involved, also "Positive Publicity" for downtown JC.
Not that this is important, but the Jwoww and Snooki spinoff show is taking place in Jersey City - The respective mayors of Hoboken AND Newark actually refused to let them film in either of their fair cities, which for some reason means our mayor welcomes them to our neck of the woods and defecate on the sidewalks*.
One of my faves is the Gravy Boat Riot…and a good example of why you should keep any promises you make to a group of harried housewives…
When you listen to him, you feel like an old friend or close family member is talking to you - he has a very warm, intimate vibe. His talent for description gives him the ability to be both poetic and very specific - it's so easy to picture the times and places he talks about, even if you haven't been there yourself.
I relate - I have very little in common with my mom too, which is why I thought it might be funny/sad/enlightening to watch this show, and gain some "Mom" perspective.
