I just listened to Atari Teenage Riot for the first time in years, speaking of the whole drum machines + guitars thing.

The Pietasters were a great band, but once their bass player (and primary songwriter) died, they should have called it quits. I haven't listened to anything post- "Awesome Mix Tape #6," although I often go back to "Willis," "Oolooloo" and "Strapped Live."

That's the problem with listening to Canadian radio — we heard the big hits, but there was so much time devoted to CanCon that bands like I Mother Earth seemed way more popular than anything coming out of the States.
