Ah yes. George Clooney is truly golden in Coen's films. I suppose I liked him most in O Brother…

Yes, let's race to judgment about the country and bypass the entire election proceedings and assume that that racist orange guy is going to win and become President, and thus, we Americans can keep our little dragon slippers, since we've got nothing else going for us.

What's that thing people say around here ad infinitum? Something something two things?

So, I saw the trailer for this last week.

Um…….. okay.

Just so you know, having a girlfriend doesn't always mean you're having sex.

Agreed. Lots of people are boarding the Deadpool hype train. Me? I can't stand Ryan Reynolds, and felt the best thing about the trailer were the parts where T.J. Miller talked, and that's only because it reminded me a little of Silicon Valley.

I agree.

I liked the good episodes. I didn't like the not-so-good episodes so much.

I agree completely.

Phil Hartman is truly what modern SImpsons is missing.

I got into a debate with a friend last night. I, too, think Phantom Menace is the lesser evil of the three, but I guess I wonder why the consensus is it's the worst, or at least, is the most cited when discussing the disappointment of the sequels. There could be a few reasons, I suppose. First new Star Wars at the

At least "Come Out and Play" was about something meaningful, though (gang violence). "Smash" as an album stands the test of time for me.

That's true. Then at least you can bond over how neither of you are the keyboard player.

Ehh, in "Smash" he had a somewhat smarter sound. Listen to songs like "Genocide." But largely, yeah - their music got way shittier the longer they went on, which is pretty sad.

Handwriting? Are you kidding me? That's a practical effect! They were spliced in with CGI.

When I was a teenager, I loved "Smash". Songs about genocide, gang violence, etc. - they were great. The title track wasn't about being a trendy asshole. It was good for a 90's popular punk album. It also integrated some unique sounds and riffs into contemporary rock.

Hopefully they do actually go in different directions, instead of rehashing Empire Strikes Back next.

I agree with this that that's exactly what it was attempting to do. I think probably everyone understands that. But, the issue becomes when it literally offers nothing new. At least the original Star Wars homaged other types of films, but TFA homages only Star Wars, to its detriment.
