Agreed. It really doesn't look good. I believe I read a bit about its behind-the-scenes troubles, and how it was delayed, etc. I think the truth is that it's probably just kind of mediocre. I don't think I'll be seeing it in theaters.

Yeah, I don't know that I'm going to honestly speak for the internet on all counts, for all movies - I was framing it from my own perspective of seeing movies I thought were "okay" at the time, then disregarded as shit later with hindsight.

I didn't love the first. I didn't even love the second, but I thought the second was definitely the strongest of the original 3. That said, I think the writing was way more competent than the writing of the third. I just listed some of the reasons why in another thread so probably won't rattle all of them off again.

I think there's a lot of reasons, though. They're all subjective, but sure, the Juggernaut was poorly done. The fact Rogue chose the antidote for mutation was also disheartening to a sect of fans of the comics/fans, because she was a good character with complexities given the drawbacks of her powers, and the

There's plenty of bad movies though that I went in expecting it to be kind of bad, and was pleasantly surprised that it didn't murder my family. In hindsight, though, it's still not very good. Know what I mean? Just because someone said, "this movie did not cause my eyeballs to vacate their sockets" isn't exactly a

I misread it to be First Class also, actually. It perplexed me, and then I realized my error, and suddenly this news story - and the Transformers series as a whole - made sense to me.

I'm sorry that the entire internet hates that one movie you love.

I agree that even level-headed people would, at least somewhat, lose their shit completely in that situation. I think though what the movie was depicting in his character is a man who realizes that if he lets his mind linger too long on anything besides problem solving to resolve each issue that springs up, he'll go

Well, I disagree with you. It's something that has not actually happened in actuality, which by definition, makes it "fiction." And because it has to do with events that have not actually happened that contend with matters of science, it is "science fiction." But, that's alright. Maybe we can just both agree that the

Well, it's set several years in the future at the very least where there are regular manned missions to Mars, etc. - which is not something that happens right now. I don't disagree that it's realistic - way more realistic than some others - but I think one of the tenents of science fiction (compared to fantasy) is

Just came back this. It was really quite good. I'm one of those people that was blown away and loved Interstellar like crazy, but this was also really good. It's a good time for good science fiction movies set in space.

Hello… whore?

Agreed - Colbert's enthusiasm once he saw it worked out was incredibly contagious. It was a great moment.

Just a reference to the fact Connecticut calls subway sandwiches "grinders."

Like a sentient subway sandwich in New England?

You know, one definition of stupidity is supposedly doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. I keep clicking these GJI articles, wondering if maybe one of them would be worth my time… I guess what I'm saying is: I'm a dumbass.

Peralta's face as he said "big time" was hilarious to me.

Agreed - show is focusing on the wrong shit. Veering too far into boring, tepid family drama, without skilfully intersecting those storylines to make the zombie apocalypse plots any different than anything we've already seen.

Interesting metaphor there, given your name, buddy… what are you planning? Set him abalze with napalm, everyone!

Yeah, this - I agree with this. I feel like you're speaking truth, and others are voicing the fact that she's a good actress, ergo, her acting here must be great. I really don't think the character has come together yet. By contrast, in TWD proper, Rick was pretty well defined even during the pilot. I don't think I
