Yeah that was a pretty good game with great performances by Petr Cech and Christiano Ronaldo. I think Greece and Germany is going to be closer than people think, and considering the political underpinnings, a Greek upset would be huge.

"How about playing something with some live drumming that changes occasionally?  Or a melody?  Or possibly even a guitar solo?"
I too have mixed feelings about rap music, but my favorite rap group, The Roots have all of the things you mention here and many more things you very rarely, if ever, hear in rap music. I

That goal… holy shit. He literally came out of nowhere for that header, which was such a great header that he got past Petr Cech, who was an absolute brick wall that game.

Well the Czech Republic has a boring, defensively efficient style of play and Portugal is much more aggressive and offensively minded, so this game should be interesting and at least half-entertaining.

I had honestly never heard of Stacy Keach before watching Fat City last night, but he and the shockingly young Jeff Bridges were very good. I found Ms. Tyrell's performance very irritating, but I suppose that was the point.

I don't comprehend. Where is the lack of plot?

Are we talking contemporary directors (as in directors who started after the seventies), because Herzog, Malick, and Scorcese are still working. If we are, then I would have to agree that its neck-and-neck between P.T. Anderson and the Coens for me as well (haven't seen as much Wes Anderson).
