I loved Extraordinary Machine, and now I'm hearing that this album is better? I need to listen to this.

This weekend I watched David Fincher's "The Game" and "Adaptation." on Netflix and really liked both of them. "The Game" is a criminally underrated thriller with some great philosophical metaphors and a mind-fuck twist. I didn't like Adaptation as much as Kaufman's other films (particularly the ending) but it was

I saw Moonrise Kingdom at Philadelphia's wonderful Ritz East theater this weekend, and while I'm no Anderson oficianado (his only movie I had seen prior was Fantastic Mr. Fox), but I will gladly second love of Moonrise Kingdom. It was a sad movie in many ways, yet I had a smile on my face through the whole thing,

I do enjoy his background work on "Turn You Inside-Out", though it's more shouting than singing.

The Walkthroughs also give the AV Club a legitimacy that similar blog sites may not have when the writers of the shows that AV critiques wants to come and discuss the show openly and honestly.

I loved this season, and while it wasn't quite as good as 3, I'd say its tied with 2 for me.

Didn't he play Orr in Catch-22? He was so funny in that movie that the trailer is mostly just him telling Yossarian why he should fly with him.

Same here. I got alienated form their game reviews when they switched from the .1 to .5 format, and then gave 90% of all of the big releases 8.5s. Also, so many damn lists. It only makes me ever the more grateful for finding the AV Club.

Todd, I love your writing and have loved your Mad Men write-ups this season, but I will have to disagree with your assertion that the show's central message is that we are all ultimately alone. I love Mad Men, and this was possibly my favorite season of the show, and it would be hard for me to love a show that much

For the most part, I find Megan to be an incredibly compelling character filled with rich detail and pathos. It would have been so easy for her to be a perfect wife, a deus ex machina for Don, but like any person, she has major flaws of her own, though the show has still maintained that she is a fundamentally good
