I think Beck hated Wilson because he created the Federal Reserve. He was probably cool with all of Wilson's racist, imperialistic, war-mongering shit.

Its also a brilliant parody of the type of philosophical, ponderous, and existential voiceover monologue typically seen in Malick's films, and contains references to the most significant voiceovers from The Thin Red Line, Tree of Life, and I'm sure some from Days of Heaven, Badlands, and the New World that I'm…

No, Bill was explaining that his inspiration for Calvin's babysitter Rosalyn was based on his friend J.D. Salinger, whose ghost was sitting at the table with them.

I'm watching the Dutch-German game right now, and Germany's up 1-0, and thoroughly outplaying them. Now I'm not a close devotee of international soccer, but how did the WC runner-ups go to possibly not making it out of the group round? Meanwhile, Gomez scored a fairly easily goal to make it 2-0 as I'm typing. What…

I don't want to hate, but I don't care for Muscle Man. There's not much to him other than that he has kind of a funny voice, and he's a dick and a metalhead. He was funnier than usual tonight, but his character still makes me laugh the most when Mordecai and Rigby are making fun of him, like in the quote above.

I think that the firm may actually get the Ed Baxter account, and I think (or would like to think) that Pete realizes how miserable it is as SCDP and leaves for Los Angeles and actually becomes 1/2 of the husband that Trudy deserves.

I thought it was a hilarious reference to how her boyfriend was not living with her as planned, and sex is a more distant and crude thing to her now.

Glad I wasn't the only one who thought this. I even half-suspected that the little creep was watching Megan from behind the shower curtain when she went into the bathroom.

Thanks for making me aware of this show Todd, I'm enjoying it pretty well, and it's summer now so I have more time to watch it. It's very refreshing to have a show that doesn't sensationalize or portray religion one way or the other too heavily, and it gives insight into the way churches work, which I'm not very…

I don't know how they could get rid of the show's only consistently likable major character. If she has "escaped" SCDP that's fine, but surely Matt Weiner, a mad genius of a showrunner if there ever was one, can find a way to incorporate her, though she's really automatically relevant to the show based on her tenure…
