What about David O Russell? Somehow, I think that bust up he had with Lily Tomlin might have gone slightly differently if Trejo had been involved… actually it would never have happened at all.

All this talk of "Bronson" makes me wonder what Charles Bronson would have been like in a Michael Winner-directed Bond film. Hmmm.

With any luck they might focus on the vast amount of bacteria in the earth's crust and choose to overlook "America's Next Top Model".

Well, if you're going to imitate anyone…

What, Duane Betts plays exactly like Duane Allman?

Yes, that's a good book. Well worth a read. The subtitle is "How a Hatchet-Man Critic Made His Own $7,000 Movie and Put It All on His Credit Card"

I like it. Puddle of Mudd it ain't.

Leonard, you are one lucky sonovabitch.

I started with Warren Zevon, which seemed logical to me (I prefer to go chronological if I can, that's just how I roll). Anyway, that album is fantastic. The (middle 8?) bit in French Inhaler where he sings, "You said you were an actress, Yes, I believe you are - I thought you'd be a star", just gets me every time.

Sweet, sweet butter…

Fritzy, I find it hard to agree that Eisenburg has an adorable manner, let alone intends to be that way. Particularly in The Squid and The Whale, in which he's an out-and-out prick. Even in Adventureland, which I guess is his most Cera-like role (that I've seen, anyway) he comes over as a much less "sweet-natured"

I can't say I was overly impressed either. I only watched it because Cross was in it, and although it breezed along it didn't really make me laugh that much. Without the novelty value of having what (to me, a British reader of the AV Club) seemed like a big name star in it, I don't think I'd have given it another

Er, Something the Teegeeak… where's Xenu when you need him?

Season 7 is amazing. A friend recently watched the first season, but coming off the back of The Wire was a bit underwhelmed - I told him he should stick with it just for the final season payoff.

Would you say that to Micah P. Hinson?

Presumably Baddie B wants no part of whatever is done to the daughter. Because, you know, he's fine with robbing/raping/murdering wives.

I stand corrected. Thug hit by frying pan, Ackroyd killed by TV. Been a while since I've seen it.

Baddie eh?
According to Josh:

What, like freakishly small?

It lends an earthiness to his magic.
