Werdsmiff - it's not just Michelin, most (if not all) restaurant reviewers and guides strive for anonymity.

I agree, it's a stretch. I'm pretty sure the main reason Ego had such a central role in the film was to mirror the importance that top end restaurants place on getting good reviews - particularly Michelin stars.

Is it their anniversary? I heard it was their anniversary.

I've got a Boys II Men's room in my house.

I'd have thought that name would play quite well with goths/emos/fans of vampire fiction - particularly with the recent (inexplicable?) success of Twilight.

Unless, Evel, it's what happens when you leave a dead celebrity out in the sun too long.

If your DNA looks like a Curly Wurly, you're in serious trouble.

It's not easy to get hold of, but I always go for some 2,3-dihydro-2,3-dihydroxybenzoate dehydrogenase when I can find it.

Maybe there should be a special commemorative thread where all the AVClubbers with a "schtick" can come together…

Hey, don't get me started. Everyone's always like, "ketchup this", and, "ketchup that", with me.

For now, but they're gonna change in the near future…

Have you read the book, by Richard Hooker? Well worth a go - it's like a lightweight, more ribald version of Catch 22. And you can pretty much read it in one sitting as it really rattles along.

It's broad, certainly, and it's rarely laugh out loud funny, but I wouldn't call it unpleasant. It doesn't treat its characters with contempt and it even manages to generate some real moments of sweetness. As the interview alludes to, the character development is subtle but it's there. I'm a bit of a sucker for the

Absolutely, Visible Man. I've not watched Red Dwarf in years but saw the first of the new episodes. The lack of laugh track made it seem incredibly dark, and not in a good way. Plus as you say it was pretty shit.

You Australians! You're all like, "get in the car".
