Dwide, a quick search would seem to reveal Morrissey's sucky opener (there's a phrase you don't hear every day) to be a guy called Damien Dempsey.

Might be worth checking out some of their live stuff too, there's plenty available on youknowwhere. I think the live version of hiphopapotamus vs rhymenoceros is better than the TV version. The bowie song too.
Being British, and knowing very little about baseball (he's a baseball player, right?) I'll have to take your word for that!
It's one of the few films I've seen that elicited an almost totally silent, shocked response from the audience in the cinema. Apart from two girls in their late teens, who laughed out loud when the credits rolled and virtually danced down the aisle on their way out. Idiots.
Surely the hipster d-bags on this message board would only get defensive if the 13-year old could play all of the Guided By Voices back catalog, or Pavement, or Neutral Milk Hotel, or whatnot?
Mondragon, thanks for finally spotting who my avatar is!
Lars may be a douche but his dad is cool, he's got some of the best lines in that film.
That's not latin!
Anyone who doubts a gawky teenager's (and DrManhattan's) ability to master metal solos has clearly never met a gawky teenage guitarist. Half my friends could play Master of Puppets in its entirety when they were kids, doesn't necessarily make them good guitarists now. It's all about muscle memory and maniacal focus.
That's "posting here". My fingers don't work properly anymore…
That's cool (apart from your dad being sick, of course - sorry to hear about that). I guess I just think of Todd Solondz as being very recent, but Welcome to the Dollhouse came out in 1995 so you'd have been about 7 or 8 at that point. Happiness came out in 98 - that's making me feel old! I'm 35 so older than your dad…
I agree.
Ah, Led Zepplein. Is that a klezmer tribute band?
My dad is a massive Hitchcock fan, and so am I, so I've got him to thank for that.
Roald Dahl, Lego and Star Wars. What manchild could want more?
Nick, I hope you don't mind me asking, but how old are you? And, by extension, how old is your dad? I'm only asking because I'm an old git and my dad, who is a very old git, was into Fats Waller and the Goon Show when I was growing up. Nothing wrong with that, of course. Anyway, your mom and dad sound way cool.
My Dad played the bass, and Mom played the drums, and I played the piano. And Jesus sang the song.
I'm still waiting for The Return of the Curse of the Creature's Ghost.
Out of Dire Striats?
In my experience most, if not all, decent Australian beer comes from Tasmania. Like the Boag's Premium mentioned above.
