Don't let my confusion dectract from the meaning
I agree with @avclub-8960b60364cfbb5ea071c2507704fb2a:disqus . . . if that was intentional then it was *super* subtle. . . It continues to gnaw at me.
Ted misused the term "begging the question" while talking about Ulysses. . . He is the worst at being pretentious
Oh, I get it, another blind joke. Real mature guys. Real mature.
Interestingly, as soon as I saw "Spielberg Face" I thought of Tom Hanks in Saving Private Ryan looking at Normandy after the battle. I had never heard of this before. I think this is a really interesting look at Spielberg's direction.
I liked it. It was really interesting.

b.) Gus's fatal flaw will be that he consistently misunderstands and underestimates Jesse. (sidebar, Walt does not, and that's a character based reason that Gus did the poisoning if it wasn't accidental)
c.) I…
Yeah that should have been either number twenty or number one. . . right?
INCIPIT ZARATHUSTRA
what's next, Firefly gets resurrected? PLEASE YES.
that would be a giant middle finger to viewers as this show goes. . . this show is about people making decisions, and to not show jesse making that decision would be a massive break with the show's character.
It's more fun to watch Descent as a writing experiment for Ron Moore which would later blossom into BSG, in my opinion. Maybe I'm reading that into the episode, and I know he only wrote part 1, but it's thematically linked, with the Borg involved dealing with what it means to have individual identity and mishandling…
