You know when else the show could've worked in weapons, items, or characters from the Marvel vaults and movies? At any point before now, too.

"An ABC Studios Production"
If Sitwell's lack of a clear on-screen death in Winter Soldier was on purpose, I hope it at least leads to some sort of Coulson/Sitwell confrontation while Sitwell's on a death bed or something.
Thor 2 was entertaining fluff, looking back with the hindsight of having seen Winter Soldier. Still solid though, ten times better than any episode of SHIELD, and probably as good and fun as Thor 1 should have been to begin with.
That's what emisan's saying. It was one of the few times the show tried to be clever and succeeded, by having Garrett give a false correction just to throw the characters, and us, off his scent.
They somehow managed to do Community episodes while working on post for Winter Soldier. I don't think they're capable of limiting themselves to just one project.
The show spoils the movie's main, non-Bucky twist.
I would be so disappointed.
So when are the Russo brothers guest-directing this show?
But don't you understand? Hydra is trying to tear SHIELD apart from the inside! The only way to beat them is to tear ourselves apart from the inside!
Horrible, horrible thought: it will be revealed that Agent Brickface's true love for Skye is so strong, it will make him realize his evil ways and renounce his devotion to Hydra.
Nobody involved with this show has apparently ever seen a grape, since they all believe that they go through no physical transformation if they've been sitting around since last fall.
Ah, must've missed the tidbit. I did catch it was drones, but not who sent them. Editing the post.
I felt the writing was a bit on the nose/cliche. Seemed like he called Garrett a sick son of a bitch three times.
The tag to the episode of him glowering while Garrett talks in the background has no storytelling purpose except to imply he's actually loyal to SHIELD. (edit: Or at least to Skye, barf.)
There was the tag where Agent Traitorslab just glowered as Garrett was cheerfully reveling in their small victory. I take that to mean he's actually loyal to SHIELD and pulling some insane con on Hydra that almost certainly won't make sense.
So, Victoria Hand's response to a Hydra ambush is to immediately start trying to kill anyone she doesn't entirely trust? Coulson's been acting weird! Never mind he was brought back from the dead, he must be Hydra! Kill him, and his friend Garrett too!
I wish I could say nay-nay. :(
I think it's just a matter of revising until they got it right, much as I love everything the Russos did. Joe Johnston seemed to think Cap was just a really, really good soldier who could jump high and bend metal. Whedon gave him gymnastics skills. The Russos made him a more head-on, more efficient Jason Bourne whose…
I definitely thought I spotted a patch saying "HYDRA" sewn onto the front of the guy who guns down security guards to board the helicarrier while Cap's giving his "the cost of freedom is high" speech.
