You're right, Andie/Pacey is a very refreshing example of how to write a couple without constant break-up tension, and instead having them deal with external conflict such as Andie's family. I wish more shows would follow this example.

Something about the death didn't feel like it was one that would "stick." Comic Book Resources had an interview with Remender where he stated he needed to get Fantomex off the table so that the arc could focus on Wolverine.

Wow, I never even noticed that the main relationship of the show only lasted about 5 episodes. It's funny because they spend the rest of the series referring back to this particular time. Come to think of it, the Joey/Pacey relationship must have had much more time to function as a couple.

I think the initial series is worth taking a look. It's pretty insane and doesn't take itself too seriously. Probably Kirkman's best work-for-hire stuff before he became Mr. Image.

I think PAD doesn't have more books because he's more of a cult-favorite writer. A lot of his recent superhero runs have had low sales numbers but sold consistently with a dedicated fan base (Captain Marvel, Young Justice, X-Factor). At the same time, they haven't given him any of the top-tier characters in a long

And that exaggerated "my lips are sealed" motion that's so broad that she basically throws it out the window, right after "I DIDN'T SAY IT WAS WALT." I love Marie.

@avclub-e351d553ab36bba1e39fc72bf75d9fda:disqus Speculation: perhaps Skylar will try to get Walt killed by going through Jesse at some point. Maybe she finds the ricin cigarette in the house and that leads to it? She knows she can't take down Walt directly or else she and their entire family will go down with him.

On an Doug Loves Movies episodes after the Dark Knight Rises came out, Thomas Lennon joked that his character was the link between the Dark Knight Rises and Memento universes — and also What's Your Number. Why? Because his character had the same name in all 3 movies: "Doctor."

Wieringo's art on that book and Waid's positive writing just made a perfect combination that felt surprisingly optimistic for a superhero comic. My least favorite part of the run is Latveria-takeover part that is drawn by Howard Porter — it's just rather gloomy.

I've always liked Echo because of that first David Mack-written arc. Then she got Bendis'd to all hell.
