Kirk Cameron's worked too. There is a sizeable percentage of Americans who think he's refuted Darwin because of the banana.

That's true - it should have been something like "We, the jury, find for …" About the trees having standing - I hug them, so … yes.

You're bothered by the unrealistic tone of the show? Ted is a relatively new architect being given skyscrapers to design. Barney makes a ton of money apparently doing nothing. Marshall is married to Lily.

It wasn't a criminal case. Private law firms don't prosecute criminal cases and the outcome was a fine, not jail time. Who the plaintiff was is a good question. Do frogs have standing?

mratfink - Thanks for pointing that out. I'm from NYC and spotted that immediately. That actual fact came up in one of the most bizarre depictions of a NY trial - "Miracle on 34th Street"

The fact that he brought a duckling into court and managed to call up the opposing…

He's just realized they are sliding him out of the show and is making a last desperate bid for attention. It's a lot like Charlie Sheen and Kirk Cameron.

"Max searches Craigslist for moneymaking opportunities and as someone who regularly reads weird Craigslist job openings, I can assure you that the “Etc.” section is perfect for ridiculous sitcom hijinks that would fit right in with the tone of 2 Broke Girls."

Also another appearence by Hugo - desperate for any opportunity to punish Bob.

What I found interesting in comparing the book and the movie was that, in the book, there is no clock. It's a metaphor for life and it's ticking inevitablility. I guess that was too vague to put in a movie so they added the actual clock.
