Bravery, Repetition & Noise from 2001 is one of my favorite albums of theirs - don't think there's a stinker on it

I saw 2 of these last year - Jeff Tweedy and Mitch Hurwitz. If you're a Wilco fan, don't miss the Tweedy one (spoiler alert?) - there's a nice story of him crapping his pants before a show.

Not sure why Jennifer Lawrence is used as the face of this article, except for clicks. I mean, these other idiots are making homophobic and racist statements, and she doesn't like black-and-white movies. She's 22! I probably wouldn't sit through a non-contemporary movie at that age either.

I was at this show, and it was pretty great. And yes, Margaret Cho can actually sing - believe me, I was surprised too.

I saw the Afghan Whigs for the first time on Friday night. Holy shit it was good. I don't want them to record a new album or anything, but I would like them to keep touring.

My wife remembered enjoying Fight Club with me, so when she was visiting her parents, they watched it together. They are very conservative, religious types, and I would have loved to have seen their expressions while viewing bitch-tits, sex scenes and brutal violence. At the same time, I'm glad as hell I wasn't there.

Sounds like it wouldn't have saved the movie, but Idris Elba was apparently going to be in Perry's role, which would have at least helped

The first two dB's albums are essentials in my book. They are probably more on the XTC side of things but also very early REMish. Just check out Living a Lie (Spotify link): The dB's – Living A Lie

From Breakfast of Champions:

The Whigs are one of my favorite bands - for Gentlemen and Black Love alone they get a free pass. I got to see one of Greg's West coast shows (LA) where John Curley showed up. Also saw him with Lanegan, and I'm going to see the Whigs in November - never got to see them before, so I'm pretty jealous of those of you who

I grew up in Raleigh and got to see the Connells many times. I wish they had received more recognition, but so it goes. Really nice guys, and they still get together and play sometimes.
