Saw the movie and didn't think that it was pro-torture. The two most used arguments are that the protagonists get a very important piece of information from torture (they don't) and that somebody in the CIA bemoans that they can't torture anymore and nobody argues with him (why would they?)

I agree that she has a pretty decent chance that I would put my money on Jessica Chastain (I think the Bigelow snub is going to push a lot of votes in the way of Zero Dark Thirty)

I love Deakins and the fact that he hasn't won is a frickin' crime. I would be fine with him winning in a 'here's an oscar for an amazing career' kinda way but I'm not sure if Skyfall is really his best work or even the worthiest film of the year.

Final Destination 2 was, by far, the best of the series. It was really, really good from the wonderful opening sequence to the final joke death.

People always complain when they do a primer on something so contemporary and well-known as Kanye West and they should. It's pretty insulting to imagine that everybody isn't well versed in his output and doesn't already have an opinion.
