I am surprised when people (or sites like AV Club) can't get past Chris Brown but demand objectivity when it comes to Polanski.

I really have no interest in the Before Watchmen books except for the Darwyn Cooke stuff. As far as I am concerned, Darwyn Cooke gets a pass and anything he is willing to do, I'm willing to read.

I ran from work to pick up The Night of the Hunter, The Thin Red Line, Bottle Rocket, M and the Samurai Trilogy. I will probably head back on Friday to pick up some Jarmusch films (Down By Law is out, isn't it?)

I saw it. It's wonderful.

I reread the book, the other night, and you are right. It looks like some form of sexual battery or rape is happening with that woman.

Gotta disagree about Wacker in the sense that, while I think he is a great editor (maybe the best at Marvel, right now) and enjoy the titles he works on, his online personna is basically him being a giant douche. I've seen him take rational comics discussions and carpetbomb them with attacks and insults that are both

"By never allowing it to go out of print, DC has retained those rights and will continue to do so for as long as it's in existence."

I am surprised that so many people here enjoyed LOEG: Century because I loathed it. I just got 2009 and while it is better than the previous 2 parts, I still found it a dour, unispired work. At least this issue didn't have any sexual violence against women (really, what is up with all the rape?) but the fact that,

Yeah, what stupid fake university do you want to pretend that you got your psych degree from? I have acrophobia (fear of heights) but that doesn't keep me from going out of my house or even going up heights (though, admittedly, I freak out)

"I was also fifteen or sixteen when I was reading it. Maybe it’s time for a second try."

Kasdan wrote the scripts for Empire and Jedi while I could have sworn that I read that Huyck and Katz did a couple passes over the Star Wars script.

I used to pirate/torrent for a good, long time before I realized that music has never been more easily accessible or cheaper. That Root's album, UnDun, was on sale at Amazon's MP3 store for $4 the week that it was released. Amazon and Google Music both had it on sale for $5 or under within the past 6 months.
