I hear a fair amount of later TV on the Radio in this album - which is different for them, but not a bad step. I like it when a band evolves a bit with each album.

Correction: 'pretty DAM long.'
Every time I see Nicole Scherzinger's name I have to google search it to figure out who she is. I cannot be alone in finding her career so unmemorable.
"She doesn't have enough stage presence or charisma to make me forget that she should be at home with her Tamagotchi or whatever 11-year-olds are into these days."
WELL, CRAP.
To be clear, it is highly unlikely I will ever sit down to watch an episode of this show. However, I consider Ms. Yoshida to be, by far, the best reviewer of cheeseball TV I've come across, and will religiously read each review.

DAMMIT, HADEN.
Oh dear lord, I love Alana so much. She once stole vinyl from her label rep for me and my girlfriend after we interviewed the Grates at Red Rocks. She stuffed them up her sundress.

Tangentially related, but always relevant.
I'm happy Gaiman is on board for lyrics, sure.
Damian Kulash is who I'm excited for
I once interviews Mr. Kulash for my old radio station, and he had some interesting views of the music industry (granted, touring HAD just killed his last relationship at the time, so he might have been extra bitter). I'd like to see what he brings to this - Amanda Palmer, I'm…
That image really got my hopes up.
So Max Headroom isn't going to be a presenter?
No, I would have given the s/t a B since it has some slow parts that drag the album down after repeat listens. Having gotten through '12 Desperate Straight Lines,' this one definitely deserves a B+, if not an A.
I know what I'll be listening to today.
I was working at a radio station when Telekinesis! (s/t) album came out, and I really got into it. I disagree with the B+ the AV Club gave it in 2009, but it was one of those rare debut's that didn't spend too long in development or get rushed out too early - it showed the…
