I liked the Spitfires in the trailers, but I was expecting a _little_ more onscreen justification for their presence. Like, couldn't they have mentioned experimenting with Dalek/Ironside technology on the airplanes earlier in the episode and had it be more of a Checkov's Gun thing? As it was written, it felt way

I've only seen a few of the old serials (many of them back when I was small and Who was on PBS), but I vaguely remember there being brighter-colored Daleks on occasion. Maybe their new look is some sort of throwback nod?

I like "4th Time Around," which is pretty much a parody of "Norwegian Wood." I haven't heard the Dylan "Boxer," though.

CSI "Yeeeeeaaaaahhhhh!"
Isn't that actually the Who's "Yeeeeeeaaaaaaahhhhh!" ?

I really liked the book, too, and I disagree completely with the opinion that there was no arc or development. The technological changes described were similar to actual history, but the cultural things described were definitely different, and I felt, believable. I also liked that Robinson used the scope and setting

I yelled, "BADGER!" too.

If this ever does get a MYOF write-up, I would rate it "secret success."

Pretty sure the "fat girl" was wearing like 20 layers.

Mad Scientist's Club ftw.

Yogurt
Because of Burn Notice or the Dharma Bums

I like the lou reed song.

Noodle's dead?
I liked the album, but it felt kinda patched together and inconsistent. A few really good songs, though. The thing I missed most, though, was guitar. The only song that I'm sure had guitar was the one with Mick Jones guesting.

I need to type "Park"
before I can even get Parks and Rec to show up on the auto-suggest in hulu. And even then it's on the bottom of the list (below Jurassic Park, which isn't even on the website in full). It's the only show I watch where that happens.

I thought it was Neal who was in a HIMYM episode. Was Bill in one, too?

I didn't watch the ad, but I like the finish on the phone. I'm thinking about upgrading to Android anyway… maybe I'll get this phone and use it as a smartphone, not a collectible. And buy a new bolo tie while I'm downtown.

I second Big Chris.

Yeah, I liked most of the episode, but the Cook Pu thing was terrible. If it were the characters in Always Sunny making fun of the name, I'd be fine with it, but it felt really crass and out-of-character for the leads here to be doing it. The only asshole in the group is Barney, and he's a misogynist, not a casual

It had to be a western
It's not like samurai form posses.

Amen.

Is Shaw a reference to the Manchurian Candidate, too?
