I liked Bran's one scene. Crazy to think he's up there in Winterfell, ruling the North at all of… ten? Even though their unrelenting nobility has shown to be more of a problem so far in Westeros, there isn't a single one of them I wouldn't pick to be on my team.

Mind: blown. Guess it's time for me to get cable.

Did anyone else catch that Hannah had like 4,000 tweets, followed 1,000 people and only had 26 followers? Christ. They're really laying it on thick with how damn pathetic she is. Hope she'll have a few positive character moments coming up, because there really haven't been many yet.

Sandcastles in the Sand.

Hopefully I don't have to turn in my snark card for this one; maybe it's part of being a 22-year-old woman, but I LOVE Call Me Maybe. I love the chorus and the bridge. I love the silly Bieber-Gomez-Tisdale in an upper-middle-class McMansion with a Hunger Games Book video. I love the official video. (Watch 'til the

Nope! I guess I was just projecting, because from my very limited knowledge of battlefields/war, I had always assumed only lower-level nurses would be actually out in the field doing triage, whereas doctors/surgeons would be more "valuable" and would be kept back to treat people brought to them? I really don't know

@avclub-d0cf409eb912cc0cc950b41b6d892d07:disqus Right. I think it makes sense for Robb, Theon, and Jon to be 18-20ish, but Joffrey is way younger to further evidence the fact that he is Just the Worst and knows nothing about anything, ever.

The war is known as "Robert's Rebellion" and ended (I think?) when Jaime Lannister killed Aerys Targaryen, after which Robert took the Iron Throne. Robert was king for something like 20 years. This is kinda unclear though because the tv show aged up all the children indeterminably. In the book, I believe he became

You… can't relate to the characters solely because they're female?

I actually really like this show so far, but I think I'm allowed to, as an underemployed, overeducated Single Girl In the City Woooooo! But it would be so much better without Zosia Mamet's stupid, one-note trainwreck of a character whose name I can't even remember because she basically just wandered, unannounced, in

Every time a prostitute shows up in this series people in the comments/reviews identify her as Roz. I didn't think she was in this scene… do I just have no idea what she looks like?

My favorite part of this (very good) episode was the Battlefield Nurse. She has to be foreshadowing that there will be Naked Robb Stark in episodes to come.

Should've read it for Women's Studies, like I did. I came out of that lecture knowing a lot more about my classmates than I ever really needed to.

The Manhattan part.

Exactly this. I'm Hannah's age. I live in a major U.S. city, with a life pretty similar to this character… except I date, work with, live by, and am friends with people of all ethnic backgrounds. Just like all the other 'girls' I know. It's 2012. Nobody living in an urban area should be so far removed from

Todd mentioned further upthread that the effects weren't completed in the screener copies they received, so the glowy-blue-eyes weren't present in Sims' copy.

God, she was great. My favorite part about interviews, cast commentary, etc. was everybody talking about what a cool girl she was. And oddly, I feel like I've seen every other principal actor in this elsewhere except her.

I'm gonna generally agree with you - Carded and Discarded is a close second - but "Kim Kelly is My Friend" has to be the undisputed best F&G episode.

I'm not sure this "condescending quasi-spoiler essay question" thing is as nice of you as you think it is.
