This "three series and a handful of specials" limit for each Doctor needs to stop.

I quite enjoyed season 9 but hated the final episode, so that kind of dragged it down a bit for me. I'm sorry to say it, but Clara's absence is a breath of fresh air for the series, and I wish Capaldi would stay on for one more series with Bill.

Agreed it's a great statement; but taking it to a point that PROBABLY isn't correct undermines it a bit, IMHO. I'll have to watch it again to listen to the wording; it might have just been suggesting Jesus was darker-skinned than most Europeans would have thought, which is certainly true.

LOL. Indeed. But I meant what method did they use to retrieve it from there.

I couldn't quite make out the line the Doctor said about Jesus. He was making a point about whitewashing, but was he also suggesting that Jesus was black? (Which I always thought was a stretch of an argument, as he most likely would have looked Middle Eastern.)

How exactly did they collect the excrement, I wonder?

I was wondering if it would become the Loch Ness Monster. But we already have more than enough Doctor Who origins for that, right??

Yeah, I don't get that much of an Ace vibe. Ace was more of a rebel, Bill is more average person.

Wow, had no idea. Not just Ace, but 7 showing up would have been amazing.

Agreed. Sutcliffe was a flat character and unsurprising, but he was mainly just there to serve a plot purpose.

Ooohhh

I mean, pretty obvious, but I don't always expect nuanced villains on Doctor Who.

It's a one-note take, but fit within the episode and seemed realistic.

Awesome! Definitely would like to hear Whovian as a special guest.

I assumed Frobisher the penguin at first. lol

Dollard writes Capaldi's Doctor so well that it's yet another reason his upcoming departure is a damned shame.

So, the ending of the original series is being forgotten? *Not that it's really a bad thing.

How have I never heard of this??

It pleases me to no end that Moffat has the Doctor calling the TARDIS' Chameleon Circuit a Cloaking Device. It's been 21 years of listening to some fans gripe endlessly about it being called the latter in the TV Movie, and it feels delightfully like they're getting trolled.

"Presumably, this is all just opening the door for a standalone Squirrel Girl film, and then the inevitable might of that hero’s Great Lakes Avengers team, finally giving Milwaukee, Wisconsin the hometown crimefighters it deserves."
