He was just too darned in love with Clara. I think it tarnished what is now most of Capaldi's era. He never stepped out from it until now. It was like Matt Smith - Extended.

The TVM movie ended up being so similar to the style of the TV series that followed in 2005, I have trouble as seeing it as much different. It's basically a pilot. The aspects that fans objected to at the time - the Americanized action, the goofy humor, the kissing - are exactly what the show later became. Sure, the

While I disagree with you, I do think Paul McGann ended up with one of the best Doctor Who themes (by David Arnold!) in the audio stories by Big Finish.

Same here. Always loved the TVM. It's what got me full-force into Doctor Who.

Yeah, sounds about right. (Although it's "Ainley.") I liked Roberts quite a bit and might place him a tad higher, though.

Gordon Tipple. How do I know this without looking it up? God, I'm such a nerd.

Yeah, right?! How has this not happened?

I just hope Gomez continues on after Capaldi and Moffat are gone from the series.

God, Jacobi was great. Too bad they didn't bring him back for another appearance (at an earlier point in his timeline). If I want to keep dreaming, that could still happen in a standalone special with him and Paul McGann.

Doctors need to start staying on for longer than three series and some specials. It feels like Capaldi just got started and we're already losing him.

Heaven Sent was SO good. And then Hell Bent was one of the worst episodes of the entire show! Moffat can be very inconsistent, but at least he's had a whole year to prepare his last series.

I can't believe there hasn't been a "Two Masters" TV story until now. What a great idea!

Now if only they could get Eric Roberts to turn up for this, too…

Even if Jack's story reaches a conclusion, there could be another run of standalone episodes set any other time during his wanderings through the future landscape.

Yeah, I think it fit perfectly.

And he looked exhausted by the whole affair.

I don't know that Jack is okay with it, rather he has solemnly accepted that he needs to end the threat.

Seriously, what else could he do? Let them kill him? Confine them somewhere until they get out and try to kill him again?

Maybe Aku takes on Jack's form?

I'm really looking forward to Ashi and Jack getting to know each other. I don't know that they'll necessarily become friends, but each can learn a lot from each other. I'm annoyed we didn't get to see this on April 1 like we were supposed to!
