Have you ever listened to Le Tigre or Bikini Kill? You don't seem very familiar w/ her work, but she's been around since the early '90s. The band "lets" her sing because it's her band. There's a documentary about her on Netflix called The Punk Singer.

Maybe I just interpret his films differently but I don't think he's this cynical at all. There's a real earnestness to his films.

God, I love that movie. Now I have to watch it again.

To be fair, Bennet was a veteran too. He got his own flashback episode and the show definitely played his romance w/ Daya straight - we were supposed to find them cute, despite the unfair power structure.

Hartdegen's makeup and hair don't really seem to fit into the period, or is it just me? I found it distracting, tbh. I know this is a show about vampires and witches and all sorts of shit that isn't real, but she just looks misplaced here. I'm all for new female characters though so we shall see.

"Eddie sees Sarah not as his partner, but as a beautiful presence in his life he never deserved, one that will abandon him should he stray from her path."

Arya's playlist is really awesome! Lots of riot grrrl - L7, Hole, Bikini Kill, Sleater-Kinney, PJ Harvey, Screaming Females

Elijah's reaction to Dill calling him aimless…holy shit! How fucking painful. My heart hurt for him.

I thought it was her new friend from Williams, Chrissy, but I could have been wrong.

My heart really broke for Alison here. Noah's novel all but blamed her and her ~sexiness~ for breaking up his marriage. It really gave her some harsh insight into how much he defers blame in general and how he sees her. Old dude boner was a paaainful scene. She had been pouring her heart out about Noah, not even being

I felt so bad for Helen in this episode. Maura Tierney really kills that role. She's magnificent.

I was really excited about this show :(

You will NOT show it to the Laker girls!

I started to read this out loud to my boyfriend and then stopped before the description of balls being crushed. I didn't want to be that cruel.

I used to live in France and my godddd, those men sure know how to treat a lady. Oral sex + coffee brought to you in bed after one night stands. It was the dream!

I find most TERFs to be second generation feminists. Roseanne, for example, who managed to disappoint us all pretty recently. The ninth episode of the second season of Transparent is really critical of this type of thing and most of the women presented there were about that age group too.

Nope. Bye.

It should have been her POV instead of Theon's because this was her story and her trauma. That criticism is all over this thread and the internet. To imply I was saying anything else is to be deliberately obtuse. The entire storyline was shitty, but they could have at least made it more about her instead of him.

How is that funny? It's important to empathize with a character when they go through trauma. We had already seen all of Theon's torments this season; it was now Sansa who was going through something terrible, so why did the camera focus on him? Joan's rape scene in the third season of Mad Men, for example, was very

Thanks! I really wish Disqus had a block user option. I went searching to see if it did and people have been complaining about it/asking for it for years now. Come on, Disqus! The only options for flagging seem to be if there is pornographic material or direct threats to my safety or DOXXing. And I don't want to
