You and I. Could belong to each O-O-O-ther.

"It is because of this, their enormous capacity for good, that I have sent them you. My only son." is from the 1978, still-the-best movie. And it took definite heat from some quarters for the messianic overtones.

The environmental/depletion of resources has also been a part of the story for awhile. The old "something happened and the planet BLEW UP!" hasn't really flown since 1978.

That's pretty funny.

alright

!!! That's…a special kind of dumb.

My least favorite term: "spelling Nazi". Ah, shaddap.

Yup - and when you're looking for it - holy shit, how could you have missed it? I think the first time I saw it I even registered subconsciously that hmmm, something is odd…and then on to the next thing.

And stay out!

Hatchet for the Honeymoon? Tourist Trap? First Wive's Club?

Might you consider:  "The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh"?

"This week: Zach Snyder's Superman movie, Man of Steel, has us periodically thinking: Oh Yeah, Is That This Weekend? It Is, Isn't It?

I think of that film, maybe not often, but vividly and fondly.

The problem with the various titles is that they're often various edits and transfers too. Any suggestions on what's the most "authentic" version, regardless of title?

This is one of my two favorite humorous lines about hats; the other is from "The Dick Van Dyke Show", where Rob and Jerry go on a boat together and come back hating each other. Jerry has this faux captain's hat, and when Rob's mad he snarls "And take off that hat!"

Oh my lord in heaven, "The Electric Grandmother" made me cry like a baby.

It still kind of boggles my mind that anyone but Barbra Streisand was even considered. Though I can definitely understand the thinking, and I love Shirley MacLaine…oh goodness no.

Ray Walston and Gwen Verdon in "Damn Yankees".

Too bad you didn't realize that in time. To not do it, or have done it.
Or not to have done it. I…hell of a day.

I have to say, Tobey Maguire and Kristen Wiig is a combination that made me read it twice to make sure of who I was thinking of (Tobey Maguire is Spider-Man, right? And I'm misspelling his name too, yeah?)
