I know it's silly, and I don't know why I really feel this way, but Chevy Chase has ruined "Community" for me (though, I guess he didn't do it alone). Knowing he holds the show in such low regard, yet he's an intregal part of it…usually, I can separate my feelings for an actor from their work, if I like the work. I

We know, everybody knows, IT'S NOT SPECIAL ANYMORE!!

@avclub-c0f8dbb69a6e71545459f9b88e475c47:disqus Yeah, there was really no way of wrapping up that last season, as it was, which would have been satisfying to me anyway. The thing is, it seemed like such a great idea - Roseanne was writing it herself. I don't know why it upset me so much.

I used to watch it. Honestly, I don't remember having any opinion of it one way or another, and I did have opinions about television programs, oh yes I did indeed.

@avclub-8eb7b8f46fe2483716d1246310d138d0:disqus You may very well be right. Now that I think about it, I think it was "Well, middle class was fun". Even better, considering the situation.

I agree - Chalke on "Scrubs" really surprised me, because I thought she had been a very, very weak replacement as Becky. Lecy Goranson had her limitations as an actor, as did Roseanne, but she was perfect as the understandably resentful Becky Conner.

That's probably the incident where she refused to say "I have no respect for you outside of this bed" to Dan. I have always had trouble understanding why that line in particular was the sticking point, but I assume it came after much ongoing trouble beforehand.

It's not as good as "Roseanne", but it breathes the same air.

I felt I'd been loyal by sticking by the show, even when it became such garbage in the last season. I'd always been very fickle with things I loved, very quick to abandon them at the first sign of change. With Roseanne, I made myself stick it out, because I'd loved the show sooo much. "SURELY there's a reward for all

It's never too late to discover something new, even if it's something you've been avoiding for one reason or another. Sometimes, you're just not ready for something (especially if you're pretty young when you first encounter it).
