This show has meant so much to me. I've kind of had to let it go now, but I'll always have the thrill of discovery and re-discovery, from showing it to friends and their loving it too. I watched the first season without really telling anyone, because I was afraid that maybe it wasn't really as great as I thought it

"Terror Train" blew my mind a little bit when I saw it for the first time about 10 years ago. It looked so…first class. Really well made all around, though of course the story got pretty stupid by the end. But god, it looked so GOOD.

I really loved it the first time I saw it, when it was new. I revisited it a few years ago, and…not so much. Though I did still like the naked lady walking around.

A friend was recounting his day to me once and he said "So I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off - literally!", and then he realized what he'd said, and how we laughed and laughed.

Oh that's right, thanks. I remember now that his problem with it was the condition it was in, not the material itself.

I mentioned this upthread, but the real difference is not that there's no curtain call, but that in the show the characters themselves reappear (as part of Audrey II) to deliver the final cautionary message. In this original movie ending that doesn't happen and, like you said, this actually changes it significantly.

The whole show is a pretty savage critique of materialism.

We know what it is! Though isn't it "wrong kid died", rather than "wrong brother"?

I don't disagree at all, though some of the movement of Audrey II's lips is one of the earliest uses of CGI.
