He is known for keeping a pretty tight grip on the properties he owns - that's why, for instance, "Dreamgirls" wasn't made into a movie for so long. Did he give in? I'll probably never get over my deep, deep obsessive love for Joan Crawford. Maybe it's a gay geek thing, but I think it's more a movie geek thing. Joan continues to obsess me as I age - somehow because she seems to grow in stature with regards to movie history as the years pass.
