I have to say, playing Lara on "Smallville" was exciting news, to me anyway, but she was pretty bad…and I actually like "Supergirl".

Yeah, but honestly it being his name which just happens to easily convert into the name of the company which published it always was a little gimmicky, I though.

I remember her first appearance too, though I don't remember much about her. I do remember that "This Female Fights Back!" line though, now that you mention it.

Maybe it's fair to say that the Mar-Vell costume was influenced by the original Star Trek, and that it in turn informed the look of TNG? And that they all have their place in the lineage of science fiction/fantasy design? I think we can all live with that, right?
