Hey now, this is only season one, let's not get ahead of ourselves! There's still plenty of time for these characters to suddenly become lumberjacks or have their pacemakers exploded remotely, just you wait!

Sadly, I agree with the chart, although I fluctuate on BotT. I find it extremely hard to accurately rank. Half of it is, I think, some of their best material (Fans, Arizona, My Party, Knocked Up, Charmer, Black Thumbnail are all great) and the other half is an early indication of the band they would become. At the…
Yeah, kudos to Plemons for his performance here and throughout the show, I have a ton of respect for him as an actor now. It takes a lot of control and confidence to nail the Todd role - a basically thankless one that will never get awards attention and leave many people hating his guts on sight - all while…
I am reading all these comments and I have to say, Miller - you are crushing it. Just excellent analysis in every thread. Nice work.
It is like an addiction. Every week I come here first, then Sepinwall, then IGN. It's like going down a waterslide that ends with a brick wall, but I just can't help myself. Fuck those guys.
Amazing episode all around, but the moment that hit me most of all was that hug from Walt Jr. They really twisted the knife there - he's the final piece of this puzzle, and he's going to find out soon enough. I'm not sure I'm prepared for the devastation.
I am assuming that it will just be on Netflix, because there is absolutely no way an Arrested Development movie that picks up where we left off would work in theaters, and also because Netflix seems open to letting Hurwitz do whatever he wants.
This show has so many fantastic episodes that I don't envy anyone trying to narrow them down like this. But I'm going to do it anyway, and foolishly apply rankings.
Actually, I'd say the first season back is very, very solid, maybe even on par with the first three. It starts off shaky, but the middle stretch - from the Davinci episode to A Clockwork Origin - is one of the show's best runs. Season four is the best overall, but you shouldn't start there.
Maybe it's just me, but for me, this was a great premiere! Also, anybody who liked it, you should check out the Sarah Silverman episode they posted early, which was also fantastic. Just Bing it with Google.
I… just… what the fuck IS this?
A Clockwork Orange
Pan's Labyrinth
Spirited Away
Slide WPSIA… up to second place and this is my list. Favourite Worst Nightmare is easily their best I think, but seems to get ignored much of the time.
Oh man, those potholders. That's Michael at his meanest, but for a good example of well-meaning but equally cringeworthy I would toss in pretty much the entirety of Scott's Tots, which is so brutal that I never have been able to rewatch it.
"Mentioning the books, having read the books, or, in response to a question or request for clarification, providing additional backstory, are not the same as comparing the series to the books."
False. That is exactly what it is. I tend to stay out of these comment threads in general (breaking that rule now because…
A million times yes to this feature. I come to this site more than any other mostly to enhance the pop culture-y things that I love by sharing that love with other huge nerds like myself. I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard, and this kind of article plays into that desire perfectly. I'm not sure what I'd do without…
You're killing me, uselessbeauty!
Disqus what?
Just finished my first rewatch, which confirmed that the Maeby episode is indeed awesome, and also that her arc in total is very well done feels like the glue that holds the season together. (SPOILERS) She plays a mostly small but significant role in many of the season's big storylines - India, Lindsay and Herbert…
I don't know, I kind of love this guy. I never really understood why people got so sick of him. Nobody else could be George Michael, and George Michael is maybe my favorite character on Arrested Development. His comic timing and delivery was astounding, especially for how young he was back then. The rest of the cast…
