I hope LMD May's programming is so good, she ends up saving original May and unlike how these things usually go, she doesn't end up sacrificing herself and SHIELD just ends up with two Mays who we occasionally see together (got to watch out for that FX budget) often arguing about something, precisely because they're

May I introduce you to little something called Twitter?

Even the known pairings produce new magic. I'm quite sure that this was an episode with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen which ended with Patrick Stewart ending the anecdote with the drunk American correcting his wife and saying about Patrick Stewart, "No honey, this is Sir Ben Kingsley. He played Doctor Spock in Star

They're volunteers for the Chair and they even sometimes still asked to be flipped even after being given permission to walk.

Oh, sorry. Not saying it can't be true. Maybe the groom got the idea to do it for real from that joke. Yeah, that's it. That's what happened. Forget I said anything.

Can Cuba Gooding Jnr. still bust a move? Yes, yes he can.

Problem with that one is that I've heard variations of that story before. It's not completely unheard of on the comedy circuit. I'd have to get reliable independent verification on that one from someone else at the ceremony because I knew what he was going to say long before he said it (variations of the joke include

I was trying to find a good spot to tell that story but you did that better than I would have. Loved how he was telling it and praying he wasn't going to crash and burn in front of his friends as he approached Harrison and Harrison's then all "Hey! Jack!"

I know the clip without even having to look. Red chair, went to school with occupant's … parents? Switch thrown?

I think my heart sank when Taylor Swift was asked if she'd heard of John Cleese and she said she had - from the Bond films (at least she'd heard of him*). "Fuck, we're getting old, I thought."

Well, at least we knew to fill in the gap. I'm also grateful that there's an article on the show at all, I could post so many more times than I have already, there's just so many great moments from the show out of the ones I've seen (and I definitely haven't seen anywhere near them all.)

That episode with Taylor Swift really must have been set up by someone with a twisted sense of humour. First, neither John Cleese or Keven Pietersen gave a shit who she was and Kevin clearly has a good handle on his place in the scheme of things (amazing pink socks by the way.)

The Doctor Who clip I linked to elsewhere in this section has them both and yes, this statement is quite true (and Carr is quite an asshole to the Doctor Who fans. They have the last laugh, though.)

It's not our fault you can't hold onto her or are so bad at cricket. Maybe you could blame her girlfriend, that's why she moved here.

There's just so many. I remember once Greg Davies after one of her stories said out loud "JESUS CHRIST, MIRIAM!".

The thing about Miriam Margoyles and her stories, until you have an inkling about what you're in for, she completely blindsides you.

P.S: I heard it's even more than that. Before the show, staff on his show will play the celebrities on the couch and they rehearse all the anecdotes and making sure everyone gets a fair and as equal amount of time as possible by testing different ways and orders to deliver the material as well as draw each guest into

I think it also really helps that all the guests are usually out together. You can get some people who otherwise would never have met and their interactions are pure comedy gold. Sometimes, the most unlikely pairings are incredibly entertaining.

Graham Norton Red Chair Thread:

There's two major groups Graham Norton shows can be divided into. The ones with Miram Margoyles and the ones without. Usually the shows are fairly balanced but any episode with her on it just spins so wildly off its axis, it just runs right off into crazy town. I mean the stories, she tells just for starters … She is
