My brother in law went to school in Maryhill and one of the guys in his class was nicknamed 'Pishy'. I think you can guess why.

Happy to see Steve Oram (Sightseers) and Reece Shearsmith (League of Gentlemen) in this. Probably too much to expect Alice Lowe to make an appearance. Whatever, stoked to see this.

Any video will be improved by the prescence of 'Get Lucky' and any song will be improved with a Soul Train line groove.

I guess it's a little outwith the remit of the inventory but you should check out Louis Theroux's Weird Weekends when he investigated the world of swingers  http://www.youtube.com/watc… the scene in the supermarket with the cashier is comedy gold.

What was Danny Boyle like?

There was a piece in the July 2012 edition of 'Sight and Sound' which makes the cases that it's an important work if not a masterpiece.

"When I grow up, I'm gonna be an old homophobe"

Great story, did he pop back later with his girlfriend Angelina?

Really expected to see Brit hospital drama 'Casualty' mentioned featuring not one but two Oscar winners,  Kate Winslet and Brenda Fricker. It's a rite of passage for any aspiring Brit actor as testified by  numerous other big names, Tom Hiddleston, Parminder Nagra, Jonny Lee Miller, Christopher Eccleston, Orlando

No mention of 'Gambit'? Looks like a good pedigree; Coen brothers script, Colin Firth, Cameron Diaz and Alan Rickman acting. Must be really bad if it fails to make this list.

Youtube is your friend, get typing 'Shooting Stars' and 'the Fast Show' now.

This is probably barely remembered, even by the Brits on this board, but it's worth mentioning the ill-feted bizarre game/chat hybrid 'One Hour with Jonathan Ross'. Notable for providing a first home for Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer as well as Paul Whitehouse, Charlie Higson and Kathy Burke.

Set comprised of breaks from records made in 2042.

Agreed, . Zwigoff has terrible judgement when it comes to comedy. He dropped the funniest scene in the movie (boxing scene) and the funniest line (Margaret Thatcher's pussy).

I don't remember seeing it reviewed but the latest album by Saint Etienne, 'Words and Music…' deals obliquely with their relation to music as they approach their fifties. Not least on the gorgeous opener 'Over the Border'  www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yG…
