My 1997 Spotify playlist https://open.spotify.com/us… plenty enough to make me think it wasn't such a bad year. Like many years, you just need to do a bit of digging.

Shame she blew all that goodwill by nailing her colours to the stupid, overblown cash cow that is the Garden Bridge scheme.
and a bonus one I just remembered.
My top 5 comedy moments which stand above and beyond from the movie they're in.
A.V. Club too cool to use spell check.
I'm very fond of Mitch & Micky aka Eugene Levy and Catherine O'Hara doing 'A Kiss at the end of the Rainbow' at the 2004 Oscars. The moment where the song pauses and he kisses her is beautiful and hilarious at the same time. Fantastic song too.
Most egregious omission is Ryuichi Sakamoto, Alva Noto and Bryce Dessner's score for The Revenant not even being considered eligible. Golden Globes and BAFTAs were content to nominate it but the Academy's arcane rules on authorship meant it was nixed.
Bowie's 1967 debut is something of a curio, clearly indebted to the baroque pop of early Cat Stevens and has something of a whiff of Austin Powers about it. Not that it's not entertaining, but these are gossamer thin frivolities which give no indication of the weight of works like 'Diamond Dogs' or 'Low'. However…
John, is there anything you can do about the search? If I'm looking for something more than a few days old, easier to use the site search on Google than the search tool on the site.
'Diana Rigg…quite fetching in her prime', this must be one of the understatements of the century.
Super Bowl, I've heard of that. It's that thing with all the cool adverts.
(A) Hard Days Night over Hey Jude by the length of Ringo's nose.
They need to exhume Michael Winner': 'Calm down dear, it's only a commercial'.
Joe Cornish please. IMDB says he isn't up to anything at the moment so should be cheap if nothing else.
Sounds like he was a bit of a maverick, check out 'Mickey Mouse in Vietnam' https://www.youtube.com/wat…
Guy Maddin's LOTR looks like this https://www.youtube.com/wat…
There was talk of a Dan Dare movie with Sam Worthington as the eponymous hero. I guess that's but the dust, I suspect he's a little bit too British, a bit too WWII to cut it nowadays. However would love to see someone like Edgar Wright give it a go.
Tickled pink that Sigourney Weaver enjoyed her fake boobs as much as I did.
Tayne really needs to be made into a movie. I'd love to see the hat wobble in IMAX or 3D.
Blinking Jeremy Paxman, pranking the BBC just a week after leaving Newsnight.
